ATLANTA, April 20, 2016 – Exact kicked off its annual Macola customer conference, Exact Macola Evolve, highlighting sweeping progress the business has made executing against the go-to-market strategy and strategic vision put in place two years ago. Shortly after joining as managing director in 2013, Alison Forsythe unveiled a new business strategy and vision for Macola centered on reinvigorating the partner channel, bolstering product innovation, attracting top talent and refreshing culture, values and product brand. As a result, Macola revealed that it grew revenue from new software license sales by 83 percent over the last two years, with the majority of that growth stemming from partner-driven business.

Enterprise-grade product innovation

Alongside the introduction two years ago of Macola 10, a robust and modern evolution of its flagship software, the company broadened its enterprise-focused capabilities for its growing base of mid-sized customers.
Since Macola 10 was introduced at the inaugural Exact Macola Evolve conference in 2014, Macola has released bi-annual updates to the software designed to provide growing customers with a more modern and intuitive interface, user configurability, role-based workspaces, browser-based product navigation and more flexible architecture. At this year’s conference, Macola is debuting Macola 10.4. The newest release of the software includes a new generation of its industry-leading personalized workspaces that streamline workflows and day-to-day processes for the user. Macola 10.4 also features Exact Insights powered by Qlik®, a complete business intelligence tool.
Partner-driven sales strategy
In 2015, Macola unveiled a new partner program designed to fuel its channel-driven go-to-market strategy and enlarge its partner eco-system. The Unity Partner Program enables solution providers to drive revenue, maximize profitability, and increase customer satisfaction. To lead its partner program innovation efforts, last year Macola brought on Gayle Prokop as director of alliances and channel development. Prokop brought more than 20 years of direct and channel management experience in the technology industry and has added a number of new solution providers within the last year.
A commitment to talent, culture and community
Committed to putting a team in place that will keep the company on its growth trajectory, Macola is currently making moves to increase its head count by 30 percent in 2016. In the last year, Macola made some key hires that map to its strategy including Derek Ochs, director of development and Deedra Wetherholt, director of customer support and professional services.
